Arkansas Firearm/Gun Bill Of Sale Form

Arkansas State Law allows the registration of a gun (firearm) in the state of Arkansas without that gun having to be registered. However, when the sale of a legal gun is being carried out, it is necessary to make a bill of sale to legally show the transfer of the gun from seller to buyer; this is the Arkansas Firearm Bill of Sale Form.

How to Fill an Arkansas Firearm Bill of Sale Form

  • Begin by entering the date of sale of the gun.
  • Now, enter the buyer’s full name and his mailing address in detail, followed by his state of residence.
  • Similarly, enter the seller’s full name and his mailing address in detail, followed by his state of residence.
  • The next section is for filling in the details of the firearm; this includes make, type/model, calibre and SN (serial number) of the firearm. If there are any other details, mention that as well.
  • Next is information about the price of the firearm. Firstly, mention the amount of the sale in US Dollars (both in words and in numbers).
  • Next, check one of the following three boxes (with respect to the method of payment):
    • Single payment. If yes, mention the mode of payment such as cash, check, credit card or any other (specify).
    • Down payment and balance in the future. If yes, mention the amount of down payment in US Dollars and the date on which the balance is due.
    • Down payment and balance on date stated in promissory note attached to this bill. If yes, mention the amount of down payment in US Dollars.
  • If there are any defects in the firearm that are known to the seller, they should be mentioned in the space provided.
  • If there are any other terms or conditions agreed upon by the two parties, it should be mentioned in the space provided.
  • Next, the signature and date of signature of the buyer and seller is required. If there are multiple buyers or sellers, they should also sign in the space provided.
  • Signatures of two witnesses are required along with the date of their respective signatures.
  • Lastly, the name, signature and seal of a Notary Public must be entered along with the date of notarization.
  • At the bottom, both the buyer and seller sign the disclosure with their initials, declaring that the information mentioned is true and accurate.
