The Missouri Department of Revenue has provided the Missouri Bill of Sale form, also known as the Even-Trade Bill of Sale form. The form is used for the sale or an even trade of any vehicle within the state of Missouri and the seller of the vehicle must complete and sign this form. This form must also be notarized.
How to Fill:
- To begin with, details of the two parties are required. Enter the full legal name (names if multiple) and address inclusive of city, state and zip code. This information is needed of the purchaser(s) and seller(s), both.
- Now, depending on the type of vehicle being sold, fill in the vehicle details. If a motor vehicle, enter the year of manufacture, make, title number, VIN #, date of sale (MM/DD/YYYY) and the sale price. If an even trade has taken place, use the section provided later (Unit or Vehicle Traded for).
- If the vehicle sold is a boat, enter the year of manufacture, make, title number, vessel identification number, date of sale (MM/DD/YYYY) and the sale price.
- If a trailer, enter the year of manufacture, make/manufacturer, title number, VIN #, date of sale (MM/DD/YYYY) and the sale price.
- If an outboard motor, enter the year of manufacture, make, title number, motor identification number, horsepower, date of sale (MM/DD/YYYY) and the sale price.
- Now is the section for Unit or Vehicle the new vehicle was traded for. Here, enter the year of manufacture of the traded vehicle, make, title number and VIN.
- After acknowledging that the details in this form are true and correct, the signature of one purchaser is required, followed by the signature of one seller. Also, check one box between yes and no for whether the unit or vehicle was sold for destruction.
- The Notary Public’s black ink rubber stamp is needed at the bottom of the form followed by the date of notarization, state, county, signature and name of the Notary, and the date of commission expiry.
